Multilingual communication is common practice in many international corproations. The increased availability of free multilingual resources makes it possible to develop multilingual information systems. The World Wide Web serves as a nearly limitless body of resources in multiple languages. With the help of multilingual corpora, we are developing systems that allow multilingual access to document collections that span several languages. With this technology we are solving the problem that while many users understand documents in different languages, they cannot actively work in these foreign languages. This way a user can, for example, make a search request in Polish to a document collection, which contains publications in German, English and French.
