Hadoop is a free, platform independent Java framework for scalable, distributed software. The use of the Map-Reduce algorithm enables the execution of computation processes with large data sets on a computer cluster. At its core, Hardoop provides for the complete administration of a distributed file system. Its primary point of use is in data-heavy application.. The availability of flexible and need-based computing centers – such as Amazon EC2 and their convenient administration with Hadoop presents a great opportunity for the processing of computing intensive problems, which could not be solved within a reasonable amount of time using only a business’s own computing infrastructures.
